This is a collection of seven short stories by Bolivian writer Claudia Peña Claros.

Women of different ages face crises stemming from specific experiences. A daughter feels guilt for grabbing an umbrella before heading to the hospital to see her injured mother. Two sisters keep the secret of a liberating death. The flooded house of other sisters stirs up doubts and disrupts daily life. Does what we call loyalty truly exist? The mothers in these stories also suffer and witness suffering—from beds, stretchers, churches, and car seats stranded under the sun on congested avenues. These seven stories highlight the complex relationship between human beings, nature, and the cosmos.
